SECTION 1: Informed Consent for All
This Act may be cited as the “Informed Consent for All Act of 2010”
SECTION 2: FINDINGS
(1) In 1988 many activists adopted the belief that abortion has severe negative physical and psychological effects, however the American Psychological Association found, after reviews in 1990 and 2008, that severe negative reactions from abortion are rare.
(2) Contrary to common belief, pregnancy is ten times more dangerous than aborting a pregnancy
SECTION 3: PURPOSE
(a) To create the Women’s Equal Information Program to ensure that all women are given equal, current information about abortion, adoption, and raising a child
(b) Through the WEIP, provide information on the dangers of both abortion and carrying a child to term as well as the benefits and consequences of abortion, adoption, and raising a child
SECTION 3: ELIGIBILITY
(a) All women seeking information on abortion, adoption and raising a child will be able to access the information published yearly by the WEIP
a. This information will the published on the internet as well as administered in all clinics providing consultation for pregnant women
SECTION 4: TERMS AND BENEFITS OF SERVICE
(a) Ensure that all women are provided with the same, up to date information about abortion, adoption, and raising a child before rendering a decision
(b) To remove bias of either abortion, adoption, or raising a child through presentation of information to women
(c) To remove inaccurate information or common misconceptions about abortion, adoption, and raising a child
